As a fully integrated Public relation company, we understand that having a brand is a key element to keep pace with clients in the market. Media relation is an essential component as this will allow clients to directly connect with the market. Crafting effective Media Pitches for supporting client media relations is very necessary. Here are some tips as guidelines for developing effective and impressive media pitch.

Research:  A little of homework is required, as what media and market are looking for exactly, there should not be any false statement.  Study on social media will help you know the trend and pitch should be time and editorial calendar relevant.

Creativity: You need to be creative to ensure this pitch stands out from others. Always use Captivating body text and opening sentences.  The pitch should be entertaining and magnetize throughout; Journalist should not feel exhausted or confused in between reading.

Keeping it Simple:  The key and the simple formula for writing the pitch is K.I.S.S., i.e. keeping it simple stupid, more point effective is more often to be liked. Reporters are busy they don’t have much time with them; they need it in possibly simple but hitting points. These are called as the elevator pitch.

Correct timing:  as you know, hit the iron when it is hot; keep proper time for publishing a pitch. Think about all angles before you hit it. Getting your story in front of a reporter at the right time improves your odds of getting the story picked up.

Journalist relationship: Maintain a good relation with the journalist; they will always help you manage your story and your relationships. Respect deadlines. If you have ideas of broadcasting then keep news ready in mind.
